Installation methods

Choose the setup that fits your sign.

Wall mounting is the standard option. Hanging works well for windows and events. Adhesive strips are only for compatible lightweight signs on suitable indoor surfaces.

Five clear steps

Mount with the supplied standoffs.

Use the pre-drilled acrylic backing as the template. The 9 mm drill size shown here matches the wall plugs supplied with this standard kit.

  1. 01Step

    Mark the mounting points.

Hold the sign in its final position. Use the pre-drilled acrylic backing as the template and mark every mounting hole.

  2. 02Step

    Drill the marked holes.

Use a 9 mm drill bit for the wall plugs supplied with this standard kit. Keep the drill straight.

  3. 03Step

    Insert the wall plugs.

Push each wall plug fully into the drilled hole so it sits securely.

  4. 04Step

    Fit the standoff bodies.

Place the standoff bodies over the holes and secure them firmly with the supplied screws.

  5. 05Step

    Mount and level the sign.

Position the acrylic backing over the standoffs, fit the caps and tighten evenly without forcing the acrylic.

The supplied kit is suitable for many solid walls. If your wall is a different type, use matching fixings for that surface.

Freestanding displays

Prefer a stand or acrylic box?

Selected designs can be prepared for counters, shelves or other freestanding displays when agreed before production.

Power and cable

Connect the power system in the supplied order.

The standard setup includes a 1.5 metre transparent sign cable and a 1.5 metre power-supply cable. The transparent sign cable can be requested up to 3 metres before production; longer runs are not recommended. A plug suitable for the delivery country is supplied.

LED neon sign

The transparent low-voltage cable exits the sign in its manufactured position.

Do not cut or splice the sign cable.

Dimmer or RGB controller

RGB signs require the RGB controller. For single-colour signs, connect the dimmer if it is included in your selected setup.

Keep it accessible and dry.

Power supply

Use the supplied or approved adapter with intact cables and connectors.

Keep it ventilated and accessible.

Wall outlet

Connect to a suitable outlet using the plug supplied for the destination country.

Use an electrician for fixed wiring.

Keep every connection protected

  • Push connectors fully together and keep them free from pulling or sharp bends.
  • Keep cables away from heat, doors, pinch points, liquids and walking routes.
  • Do not cover the power supply or place it where ventilation is restricted.
  • Keep the plug and controls easy to reach so the sign can be disconnected safely.

Disconnect the power before handling components. Stop using the sign if a cable, connector, adapter, dimmer or controller is damaged, unusually hot or exposed to liquid.

Outdoor installation

Keep the control components dry.

The outdoor sign body is IP67. The power supply, dimmer, RGB controller and remote have different requirements, so place each part according to where it will be used.

01 · Power supply indoors

The standard power supply is suitable

If the power supply stays indoors or in a dry protected area, the included standard unit can be used.

Recommended for both single-colour and RGB signs
02 · Power supply outdoors

Use an outdoor-rated power supply

If the power supply will stay outside, select the separately priced outdoor-rated adapter.

Choose the adapter separately from the Outdoor sign option.
03 · Single-colour signs

The dimmer is not waterproof

A single-colour sign can connect directly to the outdoor power supply without a dimmer. If brightness control is required, keep the dimmer indoors or suitably protected.

The outdoor power supply does not waterproof the dimmer
04 · RGB signs

The RGB controller must stay protected

The RGB controller is required for colour control and is not waterproof. Keep it indoors or in a suitable waterproof enclosure.

An outdoor power supply does not waterproof the RGB controller

The safest route keeps control components indoors.

  • Keep the power supply and controller inside or in a dry protected area whenever possible.
  • Extend the approved low-voltage cable to the outdoor sign.
  • Protect every connection and keep the remote away from water and moisture.

Installation FAQs

Quick answers before you begin.

These are the questions customers most often ask about mounting, power and outdoor use.

Does the supplied installation kit work with every wall?

The supplied kit is suitable for many solid walls. If your wall is a different type, use matching fixings for that surface.

Can I mount the sign with adhesive strips?

Only for a compatible lightweight sign on a smooth, clean, dry and fully cured indoor surface. Stay within the strip manufacturer’s weight and quantity limits. Do not use adhesive strips for large or heavy signs, wallpaper or freshly painted walls. Wait at least seven days after painting.

Can I hang the sign from a ceiling or frame?

Yes, when the sign has the correct hanging holes and a suitable support point. The hanging kit includes one 90 cm chain and two circular snap hooks. Use a support point suited to the sign’s weight.

How long are the sign and power-supply cables?

The standard setup includes a 1.5 metre transparent sign cable and a 1.5 metre power-supply cable. The transparent sign cable can be requested up to 3 metres before production; longer runs are not recommended. A plug suitable for the delivery country is supplied.

Which parts of an outdoor sign are waterproof?

The outdoor sign body is IP67. The dimmer, RGB controller and remote are not waterproof. Keep them indoors or suitably protected. If the power supply remains outside, select the separately priced outdoor-rated power supply.

Can the sign be hardwired?

The sign does not need to be hardwired and normally connects to a standard outlet through the supplied low-voltage power supply. Ask a qualified electrician about any fixed or concealed mains connection.

Final check

Secure, level and ready to glow.

Before switching on, confirm the sign is stable, the cable is protected and every power component is dry and accessible.

Damage or missing parts

The acrylic, cable, connector, power supply, controller or mounting hardware is damaged or missing.

Unknown or unsuitable support

The wall material, fixing method or hanging point cannot be confirmed, or the mounting holes do not align.
